for my 87 CRX Si FI.

It has this stamped on the gold plate on the trans - GW-209391

Got this 2nd hand from a friend.

Is this the right part number for my car?

edit - Called the Honda Dealer, this actually just a serial number.

Where is the part number stamped on these transmissions? Its mega fucking dirty, so i'll need an entire case of brake clean to find it.

The part number the dealer gave me was - 20011TE6J30

There isn't one. There is NO way to identify transmission for our cars from the outsides. Jay had a few theories about case length and design at one time but then later disproved his own theory. Then there was a theory about counting revolutions of the input shaft compared to the axle with an axle in but that is too inaccurate. The only real way to tell is to remove the case and count the teeth on the final drive.
