Need A Kick In The Pants

01 May 2015 - 12:58 AM

Hey all,

I've joined this site as I need some encouragement to pull my finger out and start working on my car again. Its a 87 JDM CR-X Si.

Moved from a four bedroom house with a double garage to a three bedroom villa with a single garage. The car is in there somewhere under a pile of crap, so cleaning the garage out would be the first step. I've owned a first gen since I was eighteen, smashed it, fixed it and smashed it again. Kept it for parts and bought this one.

Striped it to a bare shell. Cut the rust and repaired. Removed all sound deadening in and under the car. Painted underneath with tar paint using the dab technique with a paintbrush to mimic the professional Rhino Liner sprayed-on effect. Welded-up every hole in the engine bay that was not needed. Painted in cabin and engine bay GM black. Got it back to a rolling shell with engine/gearbox, fuel tank and exhaust all mounted. Shell, bonnet, sunroof and hatch are painted. Still need to do doors, front fenders, bumpers and skirts.

Hatch wiper, rear water jet nozzle and antenna deleted. All welded-up. Thinking about passenger door lock delete.

Complete Integra brake up-grade with Brembo slotted rotors, longer studs and stainless braided lines. Still would like to replace all rubbers/seals. Pulled apart the rear harness and removed all that was not needed. All wires under dash and in engine bay still to do, going for engine bay wire tuck. And the aircon has been removed never to be again.

That's where its at. So many parts needed, the parts everyone in Australia and the rest of the world are looking for.

Cleaning the garage is on the bucket list. That's right... BUCKET. (yep, I'm ripping off Obama)

Regional

Any chance of getting Australia and our brother nation of New Zealand included in the Regional section.

It would make finding fellow enthusiasts much easier.

God Bless.

Jason.
