Do I need coolant flowing into the intake and carb? The rubber islotator under the carb is mostly good other than the coolant passage.

Can I jusy plug the big coolant line going into the manifold? Would I need to plug the head side of the manifold too?

BUMP!

Similar/same/related...

I did a devac year or so ago,  Runs alright sans some intermittent cooling problems.

I know there is a coolant line in the back of the intake manifold that I have plugged that went to the factor carb IIRC, but as to the other end of that coolant that was flowing through the manifold/stock carb,

I have no clue and worry about it creating a dead end for air to trap...

Anyone more experienced have any input?
