Hi all , sorry that i havent been on in a while, been busy.

Has anyone added a turbo to a d 15 A 3 sohc. If so what did you use, ex. manifold cam profiles injectors ect.

Im planning on using a IHI RB5 and Intercooler off of a MX-6
Im also still in the planning stages with my project. Somthing else, is there any real benifit to either swaping to a D16A1 or making my d15a3 a Hydra as far as perfomance goes

thanx

You can use a 84-87 civic dx or 1300 manifold, or CRX HF manifold
I am also using an IHI RHB5.
Good turbos but they creep, you need to enlarge the wasetgate.
I woudl leave the d15a3 sohc. You could probably make as much power on it as you woudl with the d16a1. Most "d series" are rated at 200whp before explosion, with the IHI, you woudlnt make 200whp anyways, 160-180 max with the d15a3 i would think (depending on shape and kms)
Fuel Managment will be a pain for you, your only option is some larger injectors and a A/F controller, and some type of boost retard unit, or and FMU (not recomended), inline pump, and Boost retard. The only benefit of swapping to a d16a1 is to get a 88-89 motor and being able to use standalone such as tuboedit.
