Hey guys.. and girls, i recently just got a T1 turbo from a dodge
daytona... is this a good turbo?
i heard that you can make a manifold from a dx or hf stock manifold,
will this setup fit on the ew and the d16a1?
this turbo should be pushing about 10 psi that should be ok right?
any help would be great!

Yay!!
Depends on what the turbo looks like, eye it to see if it will fit. The first turbo we
bought was from an 80s Chrysler; the compressor housing wouldn't fit. We then
got a T3. (it's perfect)
You can make a Civic STD (88-91) manifold work, as long as you get an adapter
plate made to mate the turbo to the manifold. Buy your turbo first and then get one
made.
10psi is nuts on a stock motor.
IF I WAS TO TURBO ALL OVER, I'D SAVE MY PENNIES ON A GREDDY D-SERIES

what do you mean the housing didn't fit, the actual turbo was not able to fit between the manifold and radiator?
I thought the compression for the ew was like 8:1 or something, wouldn't that be able to handle 10 psi?
later after the swap i can bring it down some, possibly 7-8 psi.
i still haven't found a good d16a1 yet.
after turboing a car, should i use synthetic and 93 octane gas?
the turbo added about 70hp to the dodge stock, what hp should i expect to gain from this setup?
should i just wait till the d16a1 is in before i try to turbo?

nah jakob ment that the exhaust housing didn't work.
internal waste gate wouldn't alow us to clock the down pipe, so we would have had to make 3 quarters of a circle inorder for the exhaust to work. although we could have unscrewd that and bought a plate that covers the waste gate hole and go with an external waist gate, but that was too much money. so we sold it and got a t3...

you should judge "nuts" by horsepower figures not psi. 10psi from a t25 for example is very different than 10psi from a t3/t4 57trim .60 .63 ar. turbo
with a good tune stock d-series motors have been known to handle 240whpish.
