i have been in the process of allocating my income tax check, and i was gonna use it to do a b series swap into the rex, but now my brother told me that he would sell my his 94 3000gt v-r4 with 12k miles on a new motor and turbos cuz the tranny is stuck in 2 gears. now for more detail, the 3000gt would be a track only car for the next 3-years until i could afford the insurance on it. the down side to the b series swap is that my only vehicle will be down for atleast 90 days so i can fix all the rust and perform the swap.

WELL I GUESS SINCE THE BOARD WON LET ME POST MY OTHER OPTION FOR THE POLL THIS POST NOW SUX

now 3000 gts....nice looking cars..but its heavier than a volvo wagon, parts are stupid expensive, and then you have a fwd biased 4wd car....its all if you like to go fast in a straight line or if you like to turn occasionally too....oh boy oh boy...i would stay with the Honda and go for the B...
There are 3 goals when modding a car.
Cheap, Reliable, and Fast.
Now the down side. You only get to pick 2...

yeah exactly, though i do believe most awd cars on the market today are fwd biased. owned one for a little over a year and it was hell. screw anything up on it and you got yourself a salvage titile.

The entire tool selection at Sears or the contents of a Snap-On truck will do you no good if you do not know how to use them.

I agree with etmydst...3000GTs are known for being problematic. Plus, they tip the scales at about two ton and aftermarket parts are not plentiful or cheap. You would be better off buying a 90-94 DSM or a 95-99 and doing a 6-bolt motor swap. Parts for these cars are abundant and the actual cars can be found fairly cheap. Either way, you have been warned...DSMs are cursed. wink.gif
