#571096 Headlight Question

Posted by LagginWagon on 09 December 2014 - 07:23 PM in 3G Civic

I have 1987 Honda Civic Wagon 2WD with some horrible looking headlights. So my question is are 3G Civic from 86-87 Headlight Assembly interchangeable between Civic Hatch, Sedan, and Wagon??? I think I remember reading it in a post somewhere that they are interchangeable, but can't find it now.

A quick answer would be awesome.

Thanks

#569970 Are Hoods Interchangeable?

Posted by LagginWagon on 09 October 2014 - 09:16 PM in General Posts

I found a comment saying that Hoods are not interchange able between 1g CRX's, 3g Civic, and 3g Civic Wagon. Would the information that I found be correct?

I hope not because there's a 1g CRX hood with no dents at the junkyard that would look good on my wagon if it fits.

I thought I would just confirm this comment that I found.

#569867 Jethro's Guide To Torsion Bar Tuning (Indexing).

I'm just making sure I have this right.

1) Hammer out the torsion bar from the back, so that the front splines are sticking out.

2) Grind off the double wide spline, and use a hack saw to mark the index spline on the outside of the torsion bar.

3) From the front of the car on the drivers side re index the torsion bar by turning the torsion bar(2 or 3 notches) counter clock wise to go lower.(do the opposite on the passenger side).

4) Fine tune the ride height by turning the torsion bar adjustment nut.

5) Mad stance accomplished!!!

Does this seem about right???

Confirmation would be helpful thanks.

#569716 Torsion Bar Question

Posted by LagginWagon on 30 September 2014 - 08:34 PM in General Posts

I have a 87 Honda civic Wagovan 2wd.

I am looking to get this wagon sitting very low and I have already loosened the torsion bolt nuts all the way to where there almost falling off. If I remove the torsion bolt nut completely will I lose all suspension? Or will it sit low with very little suspension travel?

Is there any other way to go lower with torsion bar suspension?

Let me know thanks.
