ill note that information down thanks for the help your knowledge is priceless.
im really surprised you didnt blow the head off the block when you ran nitrous lol ive seen that been done many times over here in aus. my car was built in japan so i would say its running the jap spec carby whatever that may be. you seem to know a lot about the old 86's what do you do for a living if you dont mind me asking it seems like you do this stuff all day smile.gif

cheers

I do this stuff for fun (I own a custom body and paint shop -we do alot of $100,000 plus dragrace cars so i get to pick their brains a lot). I'm fairly new to these 86's(3 years only).I've always ran muscle cars so i got to play alot with carbs and nitrous. Right now i'm fine tuning a blown 489 chev in my 68 chevelle - up over 800 hp and 700 ftlbs with 7.5 lbs boost on the dyno but still need to drill out the airbleeds a bit more to keep her street happy.Waiting for next year to see what she will do on the track after she's tuned for 15 lbs boost with race gas.Never popped an EW head gasket but melted a few valves on nitrous.(My bad for running 86 octane-oops.)
Doodson knows these EW's better then i-he's one of the top trackracers around here.
