I started making my runners for my carby intake today but want to cut them to the corect length for my engine setup 87 zc head "hydra " what length would work best for good power from 4000k to say 8000k and do you measure from back of valve to butterfly or end of intake stack as in total length .

I remember reading somthing about 8''

mine is arounf 15 from the back of vave as it sits now .

well I had mine...cut to like this...

and it seemed to rev quick and pull at higher rpms...all I can say is to try them at different lengths first and yu can always cut them down if you don't like the results...they come on and off the head quite easily...good luck..TOM wink.gif
