I was out racing this weekend at our local track here in BC Canada and the car felt real strong after finding a clogged Fuel injector screen. I was running with a Turbo Miata , Turbo 944 Porsche and a 928 Porsche. I did have a small coming together with the turbo miata but set a new track record in the GTL class while trying to keep up with him.
This was my first collision in 10 years of racing O'well it was worth a track record

SOOOOO...that little tiny hole your motor has to breath through didn't hurt so bad?!
I know it killed the higher rpm HP potential of your car though....didn't it?
Congrats

If you love the Elise, drive a Se7en - Caterham or whatever...
It has even less content than the Elise, is less graceful looking
...and changes direction like a ping pong ball whacked by Thor.

I saw another 25+ Hp at the dyno without the SIR and that was without tuning. nd I am shifting at 7200 RPM instead of a higher 8000+ RPM
At the end of the year I will remove the SIR and run a GTU class to see how fast it will go

Let me know when you run without it, Chris. I would love to see/hear that race. It'll really be quick.

Congrats! I'm surprised that you have to run with 928s with the V8s.
Going to Hawaii? You need a Dune Buggy.
WTB: 14x8 or 9" Panasports or Watanabe RS.
WTB: 3g Civic hatch gauge cowl, brown.
WTB: ZC header--FOUND

Nice...sorry to hear of the collision, but I agree that it was worth it for a track record. Of course I'm assuming no one got injured and the car/s aren't totaled...?
Cheers!

Congrats on the new lap record! Good luck with your continued tweeks and tuning on car. I know from experience that these cars, race cars, are never ever done.

I just heard a good one today.
"You only go to fast on the day you crash the other days you are building towards that event"
