Alright yall, I've read the beautiful faq section on the engine swaps, now here comes the fun question which there appears to be a lot of questioning over.

D16 1 2 and 3 all fit in a 1g crx si. These are the integra engines. Some poeple actually have JDM ZC-1 brown or blacktop in their rex. I would love to drop a ZC-1 blacktop into my car. Will I have to custom fab my mounts, or are there mounts that allow a good sturdy engine swap? Also i know wiring will be hard, but i have a freind who can do it. What wiring harness do i need? Beside i/h/e/tranny/ and axles what else to i need?

ps: shiftlikage i may just adjust and get used to the slightly set back position of the stick.

i also was wondering about zc1 into a crx... how is it possible? Has anyone done it with stock mounting location? This bothers me greatly.

If someone could tell us what CAR the ZC-1 came in, it might be easier to figure out. To this day I have no idea where this engine came from.

Sounds like a pain in the behind, I dont want to have to get into custom fabing stuff, I dont have the time or money. Sounds like the D16 blacktop is the setup for me, now to find a parts car, 88-89 tegs arent that uncommon...

The zc1 black top comes in the jdm crx. So how can a second gen crx engine fit into a first gen crx without custom mounts? So the blacktop teg is what is the black top. I thought it was the ZC1.

Integra Black Top and Brown top zcs both fit in 1g crx. Black top = just a lil more wiring i believe cause of the distributor. You will need intergra engine and tranny mounts, integra axles, knuckles, hubs, shifit linkage, and .... i think thats it but check out ok... look like the resourse was subject to attack so... nm

I just did a blacktop swap and it really moves now!
The torque diference isnt HUGE, but the hp difrence is quite noticable.
