I have seen a few photos scattered around the forum here of people that have DIY'd their own front lips.

Anyone know what other models / cars bumpers can be hacked and adapted to fit a 3rd gen? I'm happy for it to look ghetto, just want to make sure the general fit / width is okay before sourcing a bumper!

Photo examples welcomed smile.gif

You can use a first generation Integra lip and just carve it a little (a little ghetto, a lot hot)

Hell, a guy on Ozhonda used a old Toyota Camry lip and just cut it to make fit.

Just get something that matches the shape of the front bar and go from there smile.gif

Spoken Camry lip.

This is what I've currently got. I'm thinking of putting strips of white or amber LEDs in the openings. If white, they'll come on by a switch, if amber, I'll make them work like trun signals/marker lights.

It's the top section of a the old bumper from this car that had a nasty hole in the lower part.

Amber FTW! So is that the higher part of the bumper you used...the holes are where the lights would be??

And that Camry one is pretty sweet too!

Yup, those holes are the 2 dips for the headlights. I cut the top of the bumper just at the top of the body trim line, if you look at to full bumper on my car you'll see what I mean.

And yes agrezivspec, like those ph34r.gif Just not right now. First I want to finish move then figure out my HID lights.

A 1G CRX Si Lip looks great on the 3G and only needs minor trimming at the ends to fit the bumper. I fastened it securely with strategic holes and zap straps:

The 1G Integra lip is a similar option as well.

I really like the idea of cutting up a front bumper, flipping it upside down, and making a HUGE front air dam. Check out 76cffdeng's album. I know the user name is wrong but its something like that, he used this idea and has additional signal lights at the bottom of the lip... looks super sweet!!

Cheers,
Mark

I have those LED strips in amber for my daily driver. Pretty neat.
