Well I was wondering around the shop and relized I need to get a crx that runs and that I could actully drive on the street.
So I hit up craigslist and found a 1985 crx si, black with 220,000 miles on it he wanted $1500 I got it for $1300. Perfect!
This is just going to be my little street car beater that I can enjoy. It gos something like this so far.
Here she is May 29:
It seems to have really crapy seats that are blue. So I swaped in one of my old 85 dx seats that is grey.
Thats better, at least for the passenger, not sure what I will be doing for a seat yet.

Then may 30th. I decided to make it look cool.
Pulled the front bumper, check out this sweet bolt.
Weird nothing holding down the wiper shroud...
Score! a sunglass case! and some broke wiper arms!

So with the fenders off, some cleaning was in order:
There was so much muck, it could not even drain
After scrubing for 5 min, and then I applied a light coat of wd-40 for crosion prevention.
Here is the sweet air horn that I removed:
Upgraded headlights and painted the headlight sroud black:
pass-old, driver-new

ok I put the ebay special fenders on that I was going to use for my other crx... but just a waring the fenders dont fit well at all if I was building a nice car I would not use these they suck, but because its just a $1300 crx I don't really care.
I guess I'll just throw the race bumper on, I mean I allready took the fenders...
back side pic of the roadracegear lip
but really the old bumper was all bent and crap
I was going to use the late si side skirts but after installing them I decided not to and keept the old side skirts.
Then the pass door came off.

and I missed a few pics but a strait door with out a super dent in it went on.
June 1st
I came this far... light weight rear bumper with air releaf on.
This rear bumper has the alluimn support that I built for the other car it it.....
Reverse lights cleaned so the now light up my plate.
Whats this? a crack it the driver side door plastic? yep change that door out with a spare also.
Some tape....
That trim went bye bye.
there was a little bit of rust under the "honda" elemblem I sanded it out and my old freind bondo helped out.

So any way after a day of sanding and scuffing.
before we go on, just remember this is only a beater thats why I painted it out side in the wind and had to dodge rain twice... only a beater thats all.

Front strut install.
I also barrowed these from my other car becasue I wanted to test the set up I was planing on using with it.
The plan is to use these koni spacers inverted for extra suspension travel.
THIS NEXT PART IS SAD.
Please if you have a weak immune system or children present just stop and press back there is nothing for you to see here.

Wow, a lot of work to look badass for a beater car. Looks cool. Even had the black trim stripe, cool.
