I Could Really Use Help Finding An 85 Si Main Relay

My name is Ear and i am new to this..... i just finished a 89 teg swap into an 85 si crx..... after sitting for a year i cranked it a few times... i didn't here the relay, i tested it, it's bad...
i need to buy one... i'm askin - Who's got one? i could really use the help, i wanna drive this car....

Sorry I do not have an extra....but you can use one from a 86 or 87 also to help your search.

open it up, remove all the old solder with a solder sucker, and re solder and clean it... it will work, trust me

Icebox is right. And if you get a "new" used relay, you will eventually have the same problem. Here's how to fix a main relay:

main relay repair

Your relay might look different, but the repair procedure will be the same for all main relays.

i must agree with icebox i have a friend that repairs them i watched him fix mine that's what he did he sell's them on egay he used the solder sucker thing to clean off all the old solder

Wow,great write-up.I just had one die a couple of weeks ago. I saved it and will resolder it today.

Main Relays will fit 85-00 at least, every Civic and Integra, some of the Preludes are different and possibly Accords. The only difference is size and color.

And most of the time its just the cold solder joints you can fix yourself easy.

The only issue with the 92-200 Civic and the 94 up Integra releasus they are the same 8 plug connector and the same pinout but the actual connector latch is offest from center so a quick swapout with a newer connector and you are golden for the later models.

i relay apprieciate<i hate spelling> all your input... i actually found a brand new one at a honda dealer.... outstanding......but now i think the tdc sensor is broke from sittin for 2 years... it's thrown it twice now during start up.... any one have an 88-89 teg distributer....... this cars gonna rock!!!!!! but again...thank you for your input and write up... love it, i'm gonna fix it...the old one...
