Economy does suck. Track days are seeing lighter attendance. I heard NOPI is going bankrupt. That may be good for you. I know I am feeling the pinch and consumer confidence is low so spending will be. First thing to take the hit are the niceties not the necessities.

Mr D. I have bought one or two items from your shop, and I PLAN on buying the radiator w/fan. I was going to buy a CF ZC hood for another CRX since mine has the steel one, but that sale fell thru on the CRX. There are a couple factors that play into my procrastination.
1. Kids. 2 of em. They need clothes, food, shelter, daycare, medical care.
2. Yes, the economy. My wife and I both work, and both hate our jobs. That said she thinks she'll be losing hers sometime in the next year.
3. My car is waiting for turbo installation, Mugen restoration, and paint/body work.
4. We had to buy a...........(gulp) minivan and requires some payments.

I know you have gone out of your way with your time, patience, persistence, and financing of these projects. I applaud that. Some of the CRXs/Civics here are really nice and deserve such parts and have the owners able to invest in those parts. The others, like 3/4 of my CRXs in the past are complete rust buckets and need work just to run, so those owners likely are really initially enthused by the products for their CRXs, but eventually give up hope with the amount of work these old cars require. I will say I PLAN to purchase items from HeelToe in the near future. As a CRX enthusiast I say thank you for your dedication to this site, and our particular vehicle line. But as you have seen for yourself, no matter how much you put into a Civic/CRX, you sometimes sell them and get a newer or bigger car for whatever reasons dictate.

QUOTE (MrDisibility @ Sep 16 2008, 03:48 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Thanks for the encouraging words.

I had thought to do ebay, but then I'd need to have parts in stock and I don't necessarily want to keep items on hand that I don't know will sell, so that makes ebay tough.

I am sure teh economy plays a role, but oddly enough my TSX parts are flying. I am promoting a lot, and there are a lot more people, and the parts do cost more too...in actuality we are doing really well right now. Just THESE items are not going. It was starting to make me wonder.

Marcus

I dont think that you need parts on hand. i have had parts like led lights from china that have taken 6 weeks just to ship it. so if you list it saying that then there isnt any thing they can say bad about you.

i don't know how many other members have the same problem i do, but here is the problem i keep facing. You come out with these wonderful products that i'd LOVE to own, my only problem is nothing guarantees i'll will have that kind of money to drop when it comes down to it.

Teins for example. when the "waiting list" came out i had money for the deposit, and was making plenty of money to put aside to make payments. everything was set to go, i was completely on board and made my deposit. when it came down to it and the kits were in the process of being built things changed, i didnt really have the money to spend for the teins. i already made my deposit and refused to back out, so i did whatever it took to get the money to make my payments. i dont in any way regret buying the teins. i guess my point is, that it would be nice to have the choice to save up the money and have the product available when i get ready.

I understand not wanting to make 10 hoods and have them sit around til they sale. I think if you did a group order of 10 (or however many), with at least half of it filled by committed buyers and held the rest for people like me who cannot always fork up the cash the instant they have to have it, it would open up a better opportunity for those of us who don't have lots of access money. I know if/when the 3g wing and cf hood ever gets off the ground I'd buy both in a heartbeat.. if i could. the way things are right now, if that were to happen any time soon, i can almost guarantee you i wont have the spare cash. where as a few months down the road, i probably will. If i had the chance to save up my spare money and pay you for the parts when i got the money in full, that would help me out a lot.

like i said, i do not regret the teins at all, but after the way things went last time (having more than enough for a deposit, then not having the money when it came time for payments on the rest) i'm really hesitant to jump off and commit to something without having the money in full. all-in-all, my point is if you had parts available to the common man, without having to have a complete group buy-in you would increase your sales to people like me, as well as others who wouldn't have had the chance since they werent a member of this forum.

Hey marcus

Things are slow atm in the motor industry full stop .. work is dead ( yeah even bmw customers are putting off getting work on there car )
because its so slow its harder for me to make bonus .... which means less attention to my 3g
as soon as a rear spoiler for the 3g is available im in the only thing that turns me off is postage to australia but you gotta pay it so thats how it is i may have to do a bulk order

dont be discouraged and keep up the good work

ive been trying to save back the money for the hood, but everytime i think im there it something falls out and i have to spend it on something else... i really need a good hood, and right now with my live in gf being jobless i will probably be looking at about jan or feb, hopefully you will still be making them... and yosef wants to go in with me and get the cf hood so we can do a combined shipping deal... so i think he is waiting on me

I didnt have time to read your whole thread but this is my reasoning:
#1 money issues: they cant afford a better car at the moment, let alone top quality performance parts. If they did they would be driving a more expensive/newer car. There are exceptions to this though. see #2.
#2 They have dedicated passion and love to this generation CRX. Very few of these people around.
#3 The cars are becoming harder to find in rust free condition, meaning alot of potential buyers for your products lost.
