Hey folks, I had a successful devac on my 85 HF. I was wondering if it is now safe to remove the ECU from under the passenger seat to free up a little more storage space. Is there anything that the ECU would still be controlling, other than maybe the annoying "shift" light? Thanks!

For anyone who was wondering, yes, you can remove the ECU after a devac. I ran the stock carb a few times up the road with the ECU unhooked with no problems. Just swapped over to a Weber (for better cold starts and because they are AMAZING), and the ecu and cover were removed. A little velcro applied to the underside of the carpet where the ECU was will help hold it down and keep it from rolling, and I can now store junk under the passenger seat.
