I find this discussion infinitely amusing.

It is real simple, just replace the backing plates with 1988 or newer backing plates and the HF aluminum drums will work perfectly. While you are in there, replace your wheel cylinders, they are old and worn out by now.

actually its not that simple for us guys around that dont have junk yards around us to where we can just go "pull parts" off cars. Here in WV they go to the crusher not a junk yard. So i cant just grab 1988-or newer backing plates

wish it were that simple for me.

if you would like to pull me some i would appreciate it wink.gif

you mean i can spend 60 dollars on new parts for the rear brakes that dont need replacing in the first place? cmon people, get your grinder out and stop being a pussy. if this keeps coming up, we are going to have to hear people listing "88 civic drum backing plates" as an "upgrade modification"
