ok I have a 87 CRX Si. the problem im having is this. If I get into the car and hit the brake with the car off, no key in it and I hit the brakes the lights in the gauge cluster light up. Now when I have it running and I have my foot on the brake and try and turn it off the car keeps running until I take my foot off the brake. Everything else in the car turns off except the car until I take my foot off the brake. These problems give me no run problems. im not sure what it is and if anyone else has ever had this problem.

Sounds like a wiring nightmare? Have you done anything to it electrically? I installed a stereo wrong several years ago and it would only cut on when I hit the brakes.

do you have an aftermarket cruse control? that sounds like some one crossed a wire between a inginton wire and the brake wire. I would check there first.
Your Car MUST be fast!!!!
Cause you were halling ass whan I passed you

sounds like a ground problem mine did that a few years ago it was the ground for the brake lights in the back of the car. i had hooked up my ground for my amp on the same ground but forgot to tighten it so i would start there and if that dosn';t fix it check all other grounds. HAPPY HUNTING

While you are at it, figure out how to wire the horn to the brake light.
Then do it to a buddies car. I saw that somewhere, friggin hilarious!
Try looking at the wiring diagram and seeing if you can tell what 'shares' the same ground or power circuit with the brake lights. Either you are drawing extra load on that circuit with the brake lights and thats making it work/malfunction or your brake pedal is physically moving wires around when its pressed. Try wiggling wires under the dash with it running and see if you can get it to repeat the problem.
