I will be doing a ZC swap to the 84 CRX I am buying, I am going to use the CRX tranny and I am going to regear it, my question is: Will ANY D series flywheel bolt up to the ZC or D16a1? Do i have to buy one strictly for that motor? I am currently looking into the Fidanza clutch that weighs 7.5 pounds and it is meant for newer SOHC D series engines...90-2000 it says. Any direction?

I didn't think that the crx tranny would mount to the zc.

everything I have read has said that the CRX tranny will bolt to the d16a1 and i thought the ZC was just the jdm version of that. at any rate will any D series flywheel bolt up to a ZC or D16A1?

You might want to go back and re-read.

FWIK, the USDM 1g CRX tranny will NOT bolt up to the D16A1, ZC or otherwise

The D16A1 flywheel to go w/the D16A1 motor and D16A1 tranny...I don't know the alpha-numeric code for the D16A1 tranny, but I'm sure someone here will chime in shortly.

The 90+ D series will not fit. You need a flywheel for a 86-89 Integra. The only place I was able to find a lightweight aluminum flywheel was from Summit Racing, where I got mine.

I found a Toda clutch/flywheel kit I am looking at. I hear Toda is good, and the flywheel is only 7.5 lbs.

hey, kakabox, you have that code in one of the pics of your tranny after you cleaned it. it is a cg trans.

when i got my zc, i checked between an ew block and the cg tranny, and only 3 or 4 of the bolts line up, which would be very unsafe in my opinion.

as far as the question about the toda clutch, i have never heard of it, but as long as it is for a zc/d16a1, and is the friction material you want, i say go for it
