I just got a rear set of mudflaps off of an 85 CRX which happened to be practically new in appearance. The car wasn't an Si, but the more typical DX model for this year. When I got home, I went to fit them on my 86 Si and they don't quite fit correctly....there is a gap on the curve of the bumper versus the sharper curve molded into the mudflap itself.

I guess the question I've gotta ask you guys is whether these are the subtle differences in the Si versus non-Si models? I've also experienced this with the front lips that I've been able to get my hands on too (which I'm currently making my own deep front lip - Si lip is kinda too small/short

DX and SI bumpers are different front and rear. The front of the SI is longer, has a bigger grill and they use a 1 piece lip. The rear may be longer, but for sure the SI has a defuser type cutout on the botom whereas the DX is flat on the botom. Also, SIs have side skirts... Those are the differences along the botom.

Yes, it does matter. The 86-87 Si's use a slightly different style mudflap (front and rear) than all the other 84-87 CRX's. The front lip is also different for the 86-87 Si.
