The rest of us want fully independent rear suspension, more roll stiffness and springs, 4 wheel discs etc

Good point on the mounting - I thought of that while laying under the car but the exhaust system on mine would interfere, and new frame brackets would be needed.
Is that how you mounted yours? Any pics?

Reminded me that I have to get a blaster from HF. I love that place - there's one right next to my office and I outfitted much of my garage there: 10" sliding miter saw, drill press, tool stands, impact wrench, auto-reeling air compressor hose, sanders, super nice rolling tool cart, etcetcetc. I wouldn't buy birth control or a parachute from HF but lots of their stuff is of surprisingly decent quality.

I'd tend to agree. Hopefully the straight-line ride quality keeps improving as the bushes loosen up, if so then there's no real downside other than an increase in un-sprung weight.
I can understand why Honda didn't set the car up this way from the factory (unless they had been ueber-awesome and sold an SiR version with Mugen flares, 4-wheel discs and a 16V motor) but it is a cheap and easy mod for modest speed freaks like us

I wouldn't be too surprised to see this top 15k though, assuming it doesn't have frame damage.
Solid CRXs (1Gs moreso) are like honest politicians. Rarer than rare these days.

My '86 only has 20k more miles. It would take at least what this one's up to waving under my nose to make me think about selling.
