So I got a 86 crx I bought few months back and just now checking it out. It has the stock 1.5 carbed engine and studdered whenever you got on the gas. So I changed the fuel filter in front of the rear tire. In the process fuel pourd out of the hose when changing the filter which is normal but now i cant get the pump to pump fuel and think there a airlock beween tank and pump.

I dont know much about carber engines, I am guesing the pump need gas in it to pump. Can anybody confirm this or have ideas?

So I see in the manual they tell you to pinch of the fuel lines prior to disconnecting the fuel filter to prevent fuel loss in the lines, WHICH I DID NOT DO, and am sure is the problem.  duhhh

Turns out the fuel filter I bought was faulty, come to find out I couldnt even blow through it after taking it back off, so I exchanged it for a Wick's and it fired right up.

What a waste of a day..My Luck...
