I was just talking with my manager about this friday, he said we should be seeing them a couple weeks before they go on sale, and I'm probably gonna be the one to do the PDIs anyway also.

Buy a CR-Z.... throw away the 400 lbs of batteries, 100 lbs. of electric motor/regeneration equipment. That would make the car light enough to be interesting with the 1.5 litre gas engine that it comes with.

I'd rather have the 85 CRX. The mileage figures aren't very inspiring for me to plunk down that sort of cash for a hybrid. I mean, my mother in law is looking at a Kia Rio, with only one battery that is supposed to get 27-36 mpg in 5spd trim. She also drives super slow, so the mileage should go up. My Zc gets 38-40. Until it gets at least 51 mpg to meet a 2nd gen HF, or a Civic Vx, I would ignore it.

If it came with rear seats like the JDM version, I would be seriously considering one, without it, it's useless to me.

Wow, ironically, it is more like the original CR-X.

Yes I do! but I agree that they should make one without all the hybrid stuff. I would be even more excited about it. I'll take a gray one if they make 'em

What is this thing supposed to be?

It's not particularly efficient (even the sedan does better)
It's not particularly sporty
It's not particularly good handling (from the reviews)
It's not particularly functional...
It's not even good looking, at any angle.....

Everyone insists it's supposed to be the new CRX but everything I read about it originally in magazines said that it's not really related anyway.

The Mugen edition was kinda cool, and I also read they were talking about a Type R with 50 more hp but I think it'd still be a hybrid.

That's so crazy it almost sounds intriguing, other than the warranty voiding part. I wonder what the specs are on the gas motor alone, also have we seen a curb weight for this car yet?
