here are some pics of the progress so far:
motor before teardown
motor with some new parts being fitted:

before teardown with new ported intake manifold and b18b 60mm TB

1 of 2 crxs' being stripped. i fully stripped 2 to make 1 good one.

datalogger installed in pm6 ecu

i have a ton of things i still have to do. should be up and running next month. car parts/wiring are all switched over..so thats done, but i still have to finish the motor.

-fill block with devcon aluminum
-notch block for h-beams
-install my new race engineering 9:1 zc pistons/tuner toys h-beams
-install new p&p head
-install reground turbo cams with JG adj. gears
-re-install full turbo kit
-install clutchmasters dual friction clutch
-install traction bars

plus a few other small things here and there..

yup..pretty much right..alot! probably a few thousand on the motor alone. luckily the cars themselves i got for cheap.
i don't want to sound like a cheap ass, but i was shopping around a bit fore the cheapest prices, and i got some good deals on parts....some not so lucky.

for example:
datalogging the ecu- $33 (did all the work myself)
tuner toys h-beams- $223
bored out obd1 intake manifold- $40
b18b 60mm TB- FREEBIE!
newly reground cams- $140 (with group buy)
JG gears- $110 (with group buy)
and some others. i think the most expensive parts were the pistons.

hopefully ill have over 200 WHP when this is all said and done. im going to try and tune the car a bit myself, and then take it to a dyno after the break in miles. i think im only going to run it at 8-10psi total....FOR NOW

the pm6 is out of a 90-91 crx si. these are VERY easy to chip, and they are pretty much a dime a dozen. the programming works pretty well on an 88-89 d16a1, so im going with that.

new update!!....with crappy cell phone pics. WOOT! biggrin.gif

just got my WHOLE motor put together. got the block filled, notched, assembled with all new acl bearings and honda seals. installed the race engineering/wiseco 9:1 zc pistons and tuner toys rods combo. installed th p&p head w/ jg gears, delta turbo cams, obd1 dohc zc intake manifold bored to match the 60 mm b18b TB.

bought a new manifold. cheap as the ss-auto stuff, but its much better quality. the wastegate comes out on the other side, the tubes are a lot bigger in diameter, and welds are better.

also, just got my valve cover back from the powdercoater....(check my sig)

heres my greddy oil kit..makes the oil line a hell of a lot easier to fiddle with.

i just went to the junk yard the other week and pulled a 5th gear set out of an early accord. way easier than i thought to take out AND install. finally ill have a car that can cruise on the highway.
