Sean, Not sure what to tell you on the TB.
Did you try to disassemble the TB and change the shaft orientation? I shipped the unit out to a local machine shop and they did the work for me.
CRXDan you are 100% correct. My buddy and his '91 Civic Si that I'm turbo-ing will be getting a chipped PM6 in the spring when the project re-starts.
Also, if anyone is interested in buying an assmebled MegaSquirt you can check here.
This guy is a regular on the MegaSquirt message board.
And as far as where I've been?
Here's a short list....
-My 16 month old son keeps me away from car projects in the garage but that's OK!
-Took a Friday off back in early November to install the MegaSquirt. Install went smooth, idled car a bit, made a few tweaks and set off on my first test drive. The CRX took a shit about 2 blocks away from my house. As I was coming to a stop at the stop light in town, the car just stopped running. I heard what sounded like a piece of metal falling down. The cam bolt broke off in the cam and the upper cam pulley fell off the cam!!!! Bent valves all over the place.
Luckily I had a spare motor I bought from Tom and Darren along with a sweet low mile Si tranny.
-Pulled motor out the folowing Saturday after work and then waited. "Waited," you ask?
-Our baby girl was born the Wednesday before Thanksgiving so I've been a bit busy.
-The day after Thanksgiving Mom and new baby came home. Good car chick wifey says, "I'm in the house sleeping and so is baby girl, Max (our son) is at Grandma and Grandpa's so there's no reason to stare at us. Go install the motor back in the CRX."
-Motor went in Friday night along with sweet new to me Si tranny. Did I mention the sweet Si trans? No more grinds, no more screaming input bearing, no more leaks. Sweeeeeeet.
-Spent Saturday afternoon re-installing bolted on stuff like the exhaust, turbo and charge tubing. Tons of little detail work.
-Fired car at 5:30pm Saturday. Motor idles like new.
-Had that following week off, so I spent a little time here and there dialing it in. I'm close, not perfect, but 90% there. I have a cold start stall once problem, but other that than that, the CRX is very fast. I'm going to try 10 pounds of boost for fun.
So that's where I've been.

At 14 PSI of boost:
Max HP: 220.8 HP @ 6300 RPM
Max TQ: 192.7 TQ @ 5000 RPM
Max HP: 220.8 HP @ 6300 RPM
Max TQ: 192.7 TQ @ 5000 RPM
its a good starting amount man well done! but with those internals done, headwork and so on, id be shooting for way more? will the turbo flow more air? with a totally stock zc, just decompressed (to about 165psi per cylinder, not sure what ratio this now is), im getting about 230whp, and 1113nm torque (4th gear, not sure of the conversion to ft*lbs) at 13psi. on a small t25 turbo. only using extra injectors for fuelling. its not really a homejob, its lasted about 3yrs now, so before you think im a moron, hehe.
please let us know if you tune for more boost and rpms! you must be aiming for close to 300whp? my plan is to build another zc with internals, and im thinking 300whp is my target. curious to know if it can be done with just those simple mods.
good luck

i have/had a HUGE exhaust leak at the manifold when i went to the dyno, i would have had an easy 20+ hp if i didnt have that leak. turbo would have had full spool at least 700rpm earlier too.
My ultimate goal for power on this is probably 300 at the wheels. This setup is very capable of it.

You don't have to buy it. The software is a free download.

Still havent gotten it to the track but i will this spring. I dont want to take it to the track untill my Camaro is finished because my honda is my only car right now and i cant afford to not have a car. but as soon as the z28 is finished the honda will be going to the track!
