Ya know, I was just thinking. If there were some way we could make a brace or something that would lock the torsion bars inplace so they couldn't move. Basically along the same function as Detroit mucsle using chains to keep the front from popping up.
Of course this would be only for track use but do you think it is possible? The nature of torsion bars especially stiff ones is to hold the front up. If we kept the torsion bars from moving up or down, wouldn't that allow better traction for the hole shot?
Just a thought, let me know what you think?
Oh yeah, if you didn't figure it out; this would only be for drag racing

if you got plenty of weight in the front and none in the back and you manage to keep the nose down so the weight don't transfer..power to the pavement..i think it ought to work.
The backend would have to be higher than the frontend though.
I heard of people slappin on big fat slicks in the front and ending up with higher front than the rear resulting in crappy wheelpressure.
i've been thinking about it too...reasonable wheelpressure in the front, stiff in the back and still streetable since it's a daily driver,i think i'll just stick to hard springs in the rear leaving the rest stock.
just my .02

Droop limiters. That way you still have some bump movement but the front will only be allowed to rise a set amount. That being whatever you set it at.
Never made any, it was just an idea I had the few times my son ran his on the strip.

If you love the Elise, drive a Se7en - Caterham or whatever...
It has even less content than the Elise, is less graceful looking
...and changes direction like a ping pong ball whacked by Thor.

I'll be making some [droop limiters] shortly for my bro's talon. We will probably be using high tensile nylon strapping, like what is used on some motorcycles (to set ride hight). After all, it only has to hold the weight of the suspension and wheel.
The reason for this is we recently installed coilovers, and he has a tendancy to ramp his car, I don't want it to come back down and land with a coil resting on the top of the sleeve instead of the perch.
