ya if you update the motor to obd0 then you'll prolly need a new ems or maybe you can send your zdyne in for an upgrade...not sure what all zdyne offers though

Re-chipping a PM6 is the most cost-effective solution.

Going to Hawaii? You need a Dune Buggy.

WTB: 14x8 or 9" Panasports or Watanabe RS.

WTB: 3g Civic hatch gauge cowl, brown.

But re-chipping the ecu (pm6) is still not fully operational for vtech. I have the ecu and am going to attempt it also. I have a b16 but I am unsure of the stability of this ecu for the vtech operation. If you know otherwise please tell me cuz I researching pgmfi for all info but it's still under development.
Time to kick some ricer butt!

I met a guy at the meet with a mini-me. He runs a chipped PM6 with MSD's V-tech controller. All it does is turn on the V-tech solonoid over a certain RPM. I don't think its expensive.

do it right! buy a obd0-obd1 conversion harness, chipped p28 ecu and chip it to type r specs (i highly recomend uberdata), that would be the closest to this hybrid motor. then you can tune from there.

zdyne gold is great. I bought mine before all this free stuff came out.Zdyne plugs right in to the stock harness and works awesome. No need for vss unless your looking for something to be controlled by it (full throttle shifts, nitrous etc...)

this is an og trick, but it still doesn't change the maps for the vtec.

it does change the maps if you have them set for vtec...its the same thing as the 1-wire VTEC ZDYNE does, just at 1/5th of the cost

find a ps9 ECU and do the same thing as ZDYNE with TurboEdit

On my 87 CRx I have ZDYNE one wire vtec works good Till now I have done 14.2@98 with 2.26 60' times and best mph in the 1/4 100.13 mph. Work's good for me. But the one wire (ZDYNE PR4) ECU I have its not tuneable.

Also ZDYNE doesnt change the EPROM. I have opened mine and they changed de MCU and added some transistors and some jumpers.

I have another project. Its a 91 Integra with a 91 B16A. Its running now using a PS9 ECU . I chipped it with an AT29C256 28 pin chip with (NG48 Bin) and edited with Turboedit. Lots of features and costumizable.

ZDYNE its really good as I have tested it on my CRX, But I want to experiment more with the PS9 ECU not as expensive as the ZDYNE.

If that were the case, you could have two ecus and make the MSD switch to the other ecu when Vtec was on. But I think there is some way to do it using the auto transmission's socket that is in the board.

How much is the Zdyne?

I got my ZDYNE for $100 about 2 years ago from my cousin. But its about $320 as posted on ZDYNE website. Thats the Conversion for 1 wire VTEC.
