87 Crx Si A/c Help Wanted

30 July 2015 - 07:27 PM

So it's 100 degrees in Texas and I'm thinking a little A/C would be nice.  My compressor is good, the system is charged and the clutch engages when powered, but I'm not getting power to the clutch from the switch.  I know there are relays for the A/C condenser fan, a diode and a relay for the compressor clutch by the battery, and there is a pressure switch on the accumulator. I have a wiring diagram but what I don't have is a breakdown, i.e.how the electricity flows, to the clutch.  I have changed out all the relays by the battery to no effect.  Anybody have any tips on tracing down the A/C wiring to find my open?  I didn't find much when I searched in the forums.

BTW, the condenser fan is running when the A/C switch is on so that system is working as intended.  I see something about a delay A/C relay unit under the dash on the passenger side, not sure what that is about but wondering if it's an issue.

87 Crx Si Fuel Tank Repair Options

08 July 2015 - 09:24 AM

I have an 87 CRX SI with a rusted but not leaking fuel tank and looking for repair/replacement options.  I have some POR 40 to reseal it but the tank is rusted so badly inside that the baffle has broken loose, I'm not sure it's worth repairing.  I can probably twist up the baffle and pull it out of the sender hole so that is not a big concern.  The only saving grace is that it is not leaking as yet.  With that said I have a couple questions:

Are there any other fuel tanks from other similar Honda's that might fit?

Does anyone have a decent used tank for sale here, if so what is the going price for one?

Thanks for any replies,
