New to red pepper...picked up an 86 civic mini stock race car last year and in going through it to get it race ready (up to my spec anyhow) I was going to upgrade the wheel studs. I am running 7" race wheels with a pretty major offset and I figured it would tax the stock studs under heay cornering. Question is, has anybody ever installed these studs?...I tried to install a stock stud from a 92 civic and it seems like the shoulder is bigger than the 86. I don't want to buy them if they won't pull in.

Thanks guys and gals

I will see if I can upload a picture

just realized I posted in wrong forum...still applies to crx.

I have ARP extended studs on my hubs, they fit just fine.

GM uses the same size and pitch threads on their metric studs and they will work on Hondas.

What has happened to me is the lug nut fails. What I think happens is a few threads break off the lug while torquing, then when I try to remove the wheel, the threads cross and the lug won't come off, then I break the stud off so I can get the wheel off. Now I have steel forged lug nuts. I've had aftermarket stock  and aluminum lug nuts fail. With ARP studs, you'll need good lug nuts, because if one fails, you won't be able to break the stud off, Dave

Thanks guys....the shoulder seemed massive compared to the stockers....I bought new gorilla nuts....needed 60 degree straight cut bevel instead of acorn to fit the circle wheels. Figured out the picture posting....have a look7D11172172.jpgDSCN2422_zps71a316c5.jpg

bumper is functional only...stock cover wouldnt accomodate bars behind it....and it is easier to find old corolla bumper covers where I am than any 84-67 civic parts.
