at my local pull-a-part i can get a integra engine and tranny for around $250 u.s.
You could get a brown top zc for like $600 or less and it would only have around 30,000 miles on it and would be stronger than the d16a1.you would need to consider the amount for the other parts nessesary for swapping it in though. biggrin.gif

i'm doing the complete teg swap, i bought a rolled 88 ($ 800 cdn) and ive removed everything including struts crosmember and wiring harness. it's all going in my 87 rex. if you get a deal on a complete car you have everything you need and upgrade the brakes and suspension to boot

I did the same as Rob - bought a totalled '89 for $600 US. Complete car comes with everything you could ever want and more for a DOHC swap.

The only thing that makes a ZC stronger than a 88-89 D16A1 is the cams & ECU.

dohc has so much more potential the sohc.....however im sticking with the sohc for the time being, until i get my autocross skills down pat(once the crx is road worthy that is)
