I decided to run the mounts as is for now, if they start screwing up Ill send them in one at a time so I dont have to yank the whole thing back out.
I finally got my alternator situated,
its an 88-91 dseries alt, I ground the case down a tad at the bolt to get maximum clearance,
I also had to nudge the bolt holes on the upper bracket to get it lined up with the ear, no big deal.
I have about an 1 1/2" adjustment travel and best of all NO DENT was made in the firewall.
I have plenty of room to slip the belt on.
Ive just ordered a bunch of odds and ends from another member to finish up the chassis electrical, Ive got the intake prepped and ready to go on too.
I cleaned the shifter up and greased it and got ready to install it and then I remembered that I had a new DC shifter I had forgotten all about!
I also went through my box of headlight switch parts and managed to assemble an unbroken unit. the things are damn hard to come by these days.
Im looking for some parts:
wiper linkage from motor to arm
non-si headliner that isnt trashed.
integra door lock poppers
upper radiator mounts

I am chipping away at it as money trickles in.
I have the engine all tidied up except for a few odds and ends, I still need injectors, and probably an ecm,
I still need to paint and undercoat the bottom and put the tank and pump in, I would also like to spray the door jambs so I can start putting the interior together.
Please check my WTB post if youve got parts to sell, I still need lots of little things.

Id ditch the grey distributor cap. Ive never seen a grey one that worked good. I think its a Autozone brand that makes the grey ones.
The plug wires always are falling off, and for some reason they don't hold in the radio interference very good, they fuck with radar detectors till you switch back to a black one.

So with the d-series alternator thereis no dent to be made at all? You mentioned not having to make one in the firewall, did you mean the frame rail or does the firewall als need to be dented? As for duration of build, you are ahead of me by far, I bough my shell 10 years ago and it is still the same way it was when I bought it (probably because it has taken me 10 years to read all the infrmation available at RPR)....but I recntly began hoarding all the parts I wil need to start mybuild soon too.

Thats correct, I did not Dent, cut, smash, budge or fubar anything on the chassis for my swap. It was more work, but I wanted the chassis untouched so I can swap to a D16a1 later on if I feel like it.
The only reason I went B in the first place was that I got a smoking deal on most of the parts.
Maybe Ill do a full racing widebody straman vert with the d16a1 next time
