If you love the Elise, drive a Se7en - Caterham or whatever...
It has even less content than the Elise, is less graceful looking
...and changes direction like a ping pong ball whacked by Thor.

Custom pedals and reniforce the cable clutch holder...
The pedals will have some grip tape covering them
no one likes to tear the clutch holder off:

another up date, I have gotten the unit body almost completly stripped in prep for the build up...
curent suspenion/brakes out, and ready for major upgrades
the almost done unibody:
most of my car:
And the next project is to be to remove the battle worn under body protection and replace it with some new stuff... this is going to suck, any one have Ideas on the best way to remove it? I am going to try heat first...

I made the inside of the car verry hot with a burner.. then the underbody coating will dry out and let loose or you can than break it off..
so try to dry it out with something hot !

what about a 4"grinder flapper disk w/ 80 grit
not sure...i know i have some killer cleaner that takes it off, but i have no idea how u would find it (i cant find it online) only localy
it's so strong u can't use it on polypropline (tubwalls and kids furniture) it will melt it on contact 8o...yet still non toxic, u don't even need gloves

The guys on hondatech are saying to sand blast it, so as soon as I get all my welding done on the body I am going to look in to it. It would be beter any way because heat is bad for metal...

if sandblasting goes slower than expected, u can get dry ice at a welding supply house...in the places u can use it it would prob make it go much faster. that's how we get tile off a concrete floor.

Sence I am useing the 1987 integra wireing harness for this project, it has a lot of usesless crap on it (ie: sunroof/AC/Power stearing/ex ex) so I decided to cut in to the harness and remove all the stuff that the car dose not need to funtion. so far it has saved me 10 lbs... sweet... again I am not done with it and I will be replaceing the loom with new stuff.
here is the naked harness with most of the useless wires off it:
and here is 10 lbs:
