Bell-crank #2.
Main bell-crank bushing:
The Spread.
Both of my bell-cranks are super robust and pretty heavy, also they are quite ugly lol once I get this setup working I will look into getting some machined or something more appeling. The main bushings have fittings for greasing, the two arms that are un-sprung weight are AL and are very light. All the rod ends are 5/8" off road racing rod ends from ruffstuff.com
this is the slide nut that will allow adjustments to be a one wrench task.
in square tubing like so:
bell cranks mounted.
Nice job Aren! I like the serrated mount you used, good idea.
Those are definitely some substantial bellcranks you built. You planning on doing some rallying with this?
If you love the Elise, drive a Se7en - Caterham or whatever...
It has even less content than the Elise, is less graceful looking
...and changes direction like a ping pong ball whacked by Thor.
haha thanks They are over kill but I think I just need to get something built with my limited tools and skills and I can refine my setup later.
Axle mounts:
big holes drilled
the mounts made out of DOM tubing
Rear trailing arms:
the tubing is 1 1/4" dom that almost fits in-between the slots in the crx arms, I notched the tubes and then made a groove in them so that they slid into place.
Welded up. I removed the mounts for the rear internal swaybar. I have other plans for controlling rear roll action.
nice build Aren, any status updates?

not to much, just got the last two pieces for the rear cage installed and a few gussets for the door frames.
So, please forgive my ignorance, but I'm trying my best to get my head wrapped around what the bell cranks are going to do in this application? Do you have a reference or explanation that could help my clueless brain? lol

Ahhhhh, I see. I've see this old thread before and have read up about it before. I guess it just didn't click this time. Great project man. I've loved this little car since it was still EW powered. Please continue.
P.S.- are you changing up the powerplant at all just yet?

For the engine, just new headers, crank pulley, and a few carb tweeks.
