OK, that puts us over the half way... I would say that once we reach 8 we start discussing when we should time the payments to Marcus so that all come in about the same time and while we discuss hope that 2 more jump on.

anyone got a price range for these things? and if we do a down payment and make payments til they are released i'm definitely in... (CF ZC) even though i'm pretty sure the metal hood i've got on right now doesn't weigh a damn thing i'm sure these would be as light as air...

I'm thinking the pricing will be similar to before based on discussion I had with Marcus.

I need 10 commitments to get hoods made. We don't have molds yet, we are lining up samples to make the molds. As soon as the samples are ready I want to drop them off to have molds made and production to begin! In order to do that, I need some FOR SURE commitments. FOR SURE means, I need money.

Prices:

CF US-style hood, $350
CF ZC-style hood, $375

FG US-style hood, $300
FG US-style hood, $325

Shipping domestic, $165 per box (one box can hold up to two hoods)
International, $395 per box (again, one or two hoods)

I am not taking deposits on these. I need full payments. However we do not need you to pay shipping right away! Use coupon code "mphoodpickup" for free shipping, then we will charge you shipping later on if you need it:

Thanks a bunch!

Curious as to the reason everything is made in batches, I assume it makes things cheaper but this sounds like something that is made from a mold similar to fiberglass. I have an article I saved from hotrod or something similar on how to make a custom fiberglass console. Once a mold is made doesn't that make it easier to repeat? Is it just getting to a point monetarily to make this feasible? I am very interested but your looking for buyers here and now. I am expressing interest but it would be close to summertime before I have funds available for something like this, I have other things on my list that I would be purchasing first, and no I don't get a tax refund. If you get a group together and the molds are produced, I could probably purchase one later.

The first run needs to have some volume behind it to cover the cost of the mold and justify the time and expense. After that we can make one at a time.

Is the list in the OP updated then?

Pricing is going to be reflected by the pricing of CRX hoods on heeltoeauto.com

$350 for FG
$445 for CF

A ZC Bump is not going to change the pricing. Shipping is a flat $160

When buying two hoods is the still a break on shipping cost due to fitting two in one shipping "box"?

On the OP I've left any with "not now" out of the list.

Looks like I have to now! What number would we need to hit in order to start production?
