I would check the cam belt as RetroCRX mentioned. My VT was two teeth out and ran like a dog - incredibly hot and couldn't get above 75mph.

I'm sure the driveshafts aren't equal length.

You may think that but in fact they are equal length on that particular engine/tranny combo. There happens to be an intermediate shaft on the drivers side of the engine. So if you lay both actual driveshafts beside each other they will be the same length. The only difference will be the inner CV as thy are side specific. JS

If you want one of these Logos send me a PM

Well I'm sure mine are that's why I was asking? I've got a JDM ZC drivetrain in my car and I thought it was more or less identical to the EDM drivetrain?

Just curious.....

I love that car. I loaned my 1G CRX to my good friend who works with me yesterday. He couldn't believe how well balanced/fun it was for an "OLD" car. It's ZC powered. They are so cheap/fun.

Well done on this car, good to see them being preserved and raced!

I thought that D16A9 was carbureted. Or did you do a FI swap. Just curious.

D16A9 engine is the european engine for CRX 1.6i 16V 130hp, 88-92, injection, engine for germany (D16Z5 cata 124hp) Belgium, France, Italia etc...
For all these countries, the CRX 84-87 was only powered by EW3 engine 1.5i 12V 100hp and ZC1 engine 1.6i 16V 125hp.

CRX 88-92 was only powered by D16A9 and B16A1 VTEC ! 150hp... Sometimes Dual carb 1.4 90hp
Senna was the best...
