I've also heard that premium cars have a much higher polygon count on the body. You can't do photo shots with standard cars either.

Started playing it last night about 7pm, got to level 4, almost 5 A-spec. I'm really amazed by the new physics, its a lot truer to life.

But not true to life. Sitting on your couch is nothing like driving a real car.

Actually, it's a great learning tool for youngsters and even elders alike. It teaches about proper entry/exit/apexes/braking techniques etc.. It's a DRIVING SIMULATOR. You actually do learn something from it. "Video games" and simulators are being used in many aspects to get people ready for real life situations. Going to the track once or twice a year on a practice day is not what I would consider impressive, superior, racing stats either {yawn}.

Yeah, you can get familiar with a track on a game/simulator. But beyond that, the sensory experience is totally different.

I think they are a good learning tool, besides who cares? I think its fun. Its free and doesn't require good weather. lol I love the real deal, but I also can't drive a rare super car either in real life so.... Hahaha.

I love the Skip Barber school ad on the last two pages. LOL
But really, gaming can help. But to get more out of it, get a Force Dynamics seat.

I can't believe it this game has the Motul Mugen Civic 87 Si race car. Totally my favorite car just to go out and bag on, 300 hp with the upgrades and 800 kg. Jizz in my pants... And everyone else on the site

heres a little video of my setup. 46" Sony Bravia, Sony Surround sound, GT5, and the Logitech Driving Force GT steering wheel setup. video is kinda long with 2-3 laps and one replay lap in a Subaru STi with some mods. the game does feel alot better with a steering wheel then with the controller.

Since I happened to be a recipient of a new PS3; AND Gt5; AND F1 2010 game from my wife and daughter this year I figured I needed a decent wheel/pedal set-up to 'properly' do this. Mind you, I didn't exactly ask for this game system, I have the real thing...but I'll take it.
Anyway, I did a lot of research on them last year and cam ereal close to buying a Logitech G25 set-up but never did. Knew about the newer G27 but thought it was overpriced (still do). So today I see this Gamestop deal with a special coupon code. So I figured I'd take a look at what I could get one for. I still think it's over priced...but a brand new G27 wheel and pedal set for $239.99 is lower than what some people are paying for a G25 on Ebay!
Still haven't had any time to play either game yet... how sad is that?

If you love the Elise, drive a Se7en - Caterham or whatever...
It has even less content than the Elise, is less graceful looking
...and changes direction like a ping pong ball whacked by Thor.
