The first is a CRX DX w/ a SI tranny
Motor has been replaced w/ Japanese VTEC "AC Short block single-overhead Cam" with a "Y8 head" and "DX Headers"
Computer is also replaced
New Clutch
New Axle
It's got air conditioning (but don't know how well it works - will be checking it out tomorrow)
There's also a pair of "Tenko racing seats", and 16" Razor rims.

He's asking 1700.

The second one also has a new motor: a VTEC "dual over head cam GSR 1800" motor w/ headers
Replaced computer
"Edelbrock manifold"
Modified front suspension
"KYB adjustible shocks"
16" rims and B&M shifter.
No AC on this one, and he didn' say anything about SI tranny or not.

I didn't get a price on this one.

I own both an 87 crx and a 90 crx, the second gen CRX (88-91) is a great car. Check for rust in the rear wheel wells, if the second choice you listed is an Si model open the sun roof up and check the edges for rust (paper thin sheet metal and they go fast) the door checks on these tend to rust and break causing a lovley loud poping noise as you open the door. other than those areas check for previous body work and or damage. the first car sounds like a standard price nothing to get excited about at all. the second car has a b18c1 in it which puts out 170 at the crankshaft stock its a great platform to start with and will be fun to drive. The edelbrock manifold is nice and it eliminates the gsr dual butterfly intake
manifold. Kyb agx shocks are a good bang for the buck shock, "modified front suspension" what are we talking about here, maybe a camber kit, if so that a good thing as well. Forget about a/c with the b18c1 in there, you can prolly swing it space wise but it will cost ya. The reason he didn't list an si tranny is because the d series tranny won't bolt up to the b series block so its either got a jdm cable tranny (y1, j1, or s1) or a usdm cable tranny from a 90-93 integra. the jdm trannys offer tighter gear ratios than the usdm trannys but check the shift from 2nd to 3rd they often have worn syncros and they grind. forget about a rebuild on those the syncros are different than the usdm cable trannys. so if its got a jdm tranny that grinds its junk and you'll need to find a new tranny. now its also possible to eliminate the cable activated tranny all together and swap in a newer b series hydraulic tranny so if its got a hydro tranny thats also a good thing. Make sure the engine block serial number is legitimate (your local state patrol office can run it for you) if everything checks out and he's not asking more than 5k or so for it I would say go with option number two. Hope that helps.
