my friend had a cf hood and when he crashed threw a cement wall the hood just liek bent.. curled up.. it didnt really break lol

no you cant bust them but they have been known too split in half and separate into two pieces..the VIS C/F hood i had on my old cb7 did this at around 70mph so yeah i always reccomend hood pins now. Scott, you have a good direction but i would use a bit used to drill say pvc or something like a hole reamer. A regular dril bit may splinter the hood a little but i doubt it will crack it, that s tough stuff. Good luck man, god i want one on those hoods!

If ur gonna drill try a dremel, has far as vibration w/out hood pins I saw no vibration even @ 80+mph, u just have to set the bumpers so its tight.

@ jerry, 2nd gen CRX mugen bodykit made fit for 1st gen CRX. they are all around ebay just type in CRX 86 mugen en youll find them jerry

@ scott, take a look at the cusco hood locks. Ive used them allot on all kind of cf hoods the placement is easy and you wont screw up easely. if you want pictures of those locks on a delsol hood then let me know.
