My "field" cars would have been my 79 Impala and 72 Caprice. Each only cost me $100. Both were fun for sliding though the woods on narrow grave roads. Only bounced the quarter panel off of a couple trees.

Does this count as a "field car", with that rear plate?

I grew up on a farm, and there was a car or two to drive around, years ago.

BTW, I recently put the Farm Use plate back on my race car.

where was that picture taken at? The location looks awfully familiar.

My field car is a '85 Chevrolet 1 ton flat bed dump truck with a 350/ 3-speed with granny low. I don't actually hit shit in it.... we use it to haul hay. But... it IS a field car.

This picture was taken in 2001 or so, at Langley Speedway in Hampton, VA. We were running an autocross, counter-clockwise on the small oval (and infield).

This picture was taken at Mid-Ohio, in 2004

This might be a better picture, taken in my yard

i used my 84 hf as a field car. it did pretty good. my truck gets stuck in my backyard but the crx kept going. my field car before that was an 85 cadillac sedan deville with leather seats. it lasted 3 or 4 weeks until i threw a rod through the side of the block. it was just laying in the middle of my figure 8 track.

My CRX Si was a feild car for a few years, but it was mainly just ran around the yard. Now we use either an 82 Dodge Rampage, or a Ford Escort.
