I'm an incoming freshman at Kansas University, and I work part time at a local grocery store as a stalker...I mean a stocker, and I work a few times a month at my dads law firm.
There are 3 goals when modding a car.
Cheap, Reliable, and Fast.
Now the down side. You only get to pick 2...

Well, I guess I'll start off for us old farts:
My job is completely opposite of my crx obsession: I'm a medical guy.
Occupational Therapist (NO, I don't help people find jobs) for a home health agency.
I'm the guy that comes out to your grandma's house after she's had a stroke/broken hip, etc. and needs help to get on the toilet/get dressed/make herself a sandwich, etc.
I feel very fortunate to be doing what I do. It gives me satisfaction knowing I'm helping others, and it pays pretty good too biggrin.gif

Occupational Therapy-----"Skills for the job of living".

"Please", "I appreciate it", "thank you very much", "I'm sorry"= common courtesy....what a great concept (ESPECIALLY for business)!!

Here in Texas, I work on oil drilling, cattle drivig, and misc. other agriculture orriented things. I ride my horse to high school and milk the cows along with other farm chores. On my free time I ride around in my AMERICAN truck and hollar at the little ladies while im dressed inmu finest nut-huggers and boots.

In real life, I work at a local auto mech. shop, I do drive a 4x4 but its a subaru impreza. reason why i said all that crap bout oil and catlle b/s is i know that most peoples' concept of texas is oil wells and farms. I live in Houston almost nowhere in texas does anyone do that. although you CAN'T go 2 ft without seeing some kind of white-trash or redneck with a mullet or something stupid like that. i have a pet peve(however u spell it, yeah thats right i said u! and lower case i.)
the things i say when im bored.

I'm an industrial engineer I work in air pollution basically
estimate emissions from factories that want to expand.

Before this field I worked in Osaka for a company that makes
scientific instruments, before that as a lab technician for a
cancer research project, was in the army and national guard
for gulf war I (stateside service only if you count that), and
have put insulation into people's houses. My first real job (HS)
was red lobster.

That is SOOO amazing!

I didn't get a chance to see much sites as I was
working mostly. Of course, I've done the touristy things
nara, kyoto, kobe, and a couple places I can't remember
on business.

I was only there for winter/early summer 1994.

Financially I admit I made a big mistake leaving that gig.
I still don't get to-me-take-home anything close to what I
made there. But I guess my standard of living here is better,
which counts for a little.

I know it sounds lame but I also kinda had a curfew there.
Which got old. But the president of the company knew my
step-dad from waaaay back and he would have lost great
face if something happened to me.

As much as I love my CRX, I definately enjoy living in a place that
I am not required to drive everywhere.

I lived near Tsurahashi station if you know where that is.
