UHM guys thats a SAAB not a SUBARU

or is it a subie with a saab badge? i didnt think they merged....

The merged for this product.. Hence we are calling it a SAABARU. It is powered by the WRX turbo engine.

Right. As I recall, GM forced Subaru into producing a badge-engineered version of the WRX to sell at Saab dealers. I don't think either Subaru or Sasb was thrilled with the idea...

Correct, but I loved these from the beginning. We went and looked at them when they were new, but it was my wife who was in the market for a new car at the time and she didn't want a wagon... Unfortunately like anything GM tries to do it was a flop, but that just makes them that much cooler now. Mines a 2006 which got the 2.5L engine instead of the 2.0L in the 05's. There were only 338 2006 Aero's made and mine is one of 235 with a manual transmission. The Saab's supposedly have nicer interior materials and an upgraded suspension over the WRX. The steering rack is from the STI and the exhaust is borrowed from the STI as well.

I had to fly to Virginia to get it and the salesman said he had never received so many calls about a car and there was a waiting list for the car if I changed my mind.

I love my 3g hatch but if I had the $$$ I'd probably make an EP3 or a Volvo C30 my DD and reserve my 3g for restoration or racing.

The entire tool selection at Sears or the contents of a Snap-On truck will do you no good if you do not know how to use them.

Suzuki swift gti!!!!!!! of DOOOM!!!

DOHC 1.3L, 8500 rpms! There is actually a strong following for these cars and there is actually an aftermarket out there for them (More so than our aftermarket).

I would love to have one as a daily but they are so very rare in the states and even more rare to find a non rusty one.
