i'll be 32 in july. started messing with cars in high school (mazda mini truck, torsion bars woohoo). modded my first honda, 1993 civic si in 93. started autocrossing in it in csp. wrecked it on the street and bought my 87 si hatch to run in csp. blew up the motor and did the teg swap when i was working for a guy at a local shop in 95. now my 87 is finally in my garage(ask nivek what it looked like) and i am about to get serious about putting it back together.

Kirk and I were born during the Eisenhower Administration. He snuck in during the last months of the first term, I was a few months later in the second term.
I have been cleaning my hands with mechnaic's soap since I was counting my years in single digits.

After reading that and thinking about it, I realized I wasn't born under Reagan like I thought... I was alive for the last few weeks of the Carter administration. Born 10-30-81.
EDIT: And nevermind, Reagan was in the year before. I need sleep.

I adopted a 84 civic sedan that my parents bought new in 84 when I turned 16. After I was hit by a SUV and the car was totaled I got a 88 accord.
since then I have added a 88 mazda RX-7 and a 94 mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 to my stable. I am currently looking for another 3rd gen civic

I should have said I originally started working on cars
when I was 16. The first, a 70 MGB, I was actually able
to drive home. That one was crap, but i used it to tow
home a 71 from a guy's back yard a couple miles away.
That one was not much better. Then, taking the other
one that my neighbor had that arrived on a rollback for
parts to his MG, I ended up taking stuff from all three
to complete the 71 as a 'daily' driver. I wanted to get
out of the car repair being my full time 'hobby' that's
when i sold it and got the CRX. I hope to get back to the
point where my CRX is not an MG anymore

im 21 (22 in oct) and my first car was a bronco II. loved it, loved wrenchin it. rolled it.
then i got a 95 eclipse GST loved it hated wrenching it. it was always broke. after 2 years i totaled it with a curb an some assistance with an 18 wheeler. prolly wouldnt have been totaled had the 18wheeler not been there but o well. im glad to be rid of it. only bad thing is 6 months later and i still owe 1000 bux on it. but i used the most of the insurance money to pay it off and kept 600 to buy my CRX. i love it. i havent had to wrench on it at all (which is weird for a vehicle in my possession) and ive got some work on it coming up (axle cause the CV is poppin bad, new shocks, new rotors ect) basic maintence stuff and im kinda afraid to run into a seized bolt because of all the rust i dont wanna break a hole in the car or bust the suspension off because i cant afford to fix it right now. o well we will see.
ive been workin on cars since i was abotu 17 and ive gotten pretty inclined at it. ive always been interested in how things work and cars have always intrigued me.
o yea www.howstuffworks.com rocks my socks off.

im 20, used to be solely into Datsuns, exclusively Z's...pinnacle was a cherry red '72 240z...carbs didnt like me, sold it...the '81 280zx was my college car for the longest time until gas prices went through the roof...now I cruise in an '85 CRX Si, it rocks, and I'll probably go back and forth between old Datsuns and Hondas until death and dismemberment seperates us.
