I switched from beer to whiskey.!!!!

I did this too! One beer is almost equivalent to the calories of 3 shots or more depending on the beer.

Plus it doesn't drain you as much as the bloated feeling of 6+ beers in a short timespan

5'11 and 205 isnt obese, it's overweight, BMI is a great and easy way to monitor fitness that most people can use... sure it isnt perfect for everyone, and most fitness buffs will tell you that if you fall into the "overweight" category and don't exercise frequently then you are probably heading toward obesity. And for the record, obesity is defined by the national institutes of health as someone with a "BMI" greater than 30..... I also hardly believe that an institution of higher learning would Punish! someone for using an acronym or BMI as an example by making them write 500 words lol

Does it bother anyone else when people just make "facts" up to support their claims? My brother is in the Army, but it doesnt mean I know poo about Gen. George S. Patton.... take that crap back to H-T

LOL "Excuse me if I offended the mighty BMI scale" I said IMO it is not a good chart to follow to make a goal for weight loss. It's discouraging when you look at the numbers really. Bodyfat measurements would be a better choice I suppose..

Sure if you want to be waify.. follow the BMI chart. In no way am I 6' going to want to weigh in at 155-170 (some people it looks good though) BMI does not take into consideration for some peoples structure/bonemass/ size is all..

If you read the other posts I DID NOT FOLLOW MY BROTHERS DIRECTIONS.. So I can give a flying fuck what he says. I basically told him fuck off when he told me I was doing it all wrong.. He is on his 4th year in his major so , yes, he knows his shit, well, what he has learned from his professors and books shit. I don't know everything nor I never claimed to.. I know what I'm doing is working is all. 270~ to 225lbs in a matter of a month aint' too bad. I even had a weeks stint in the hospital for a major surgery too. I went in april 1st and just came out. I'll be another week until I can start walking without a walker again lol. Maybe I came off wrong? Who knows. I am on a Norco/ Soma cocktail ever 6 hrs.

So Honestly, the only one being kinda HT-ish is you.. I just disagreed with the BMI chart (it's not like you invented it so I don't know why so offended). You 1. Called me a liar 2. mocked me 3. insulted me..

The only one that can REALLY help is YOU.. Just believe in yourself and the hell with people that get you down bro'.. There will be many that do.. Hell even my mom said " Your just gonna get fat again" lol.. More motivation right there..

I was working out about 3-4 times a week for an hour each time.. treadmill, light weights,crunches.. Isometric workouts. Nothing fancy.

I basically ate fruit for breakfast, vegetables for lunch and steamed 6-8oz of chicken breast with some steamed veggies for dinner, nothing after 7PM..

I drank nothing but water and tea or coffee.. not even diet drinks..

I even set "cheat day" when I hit a certain goal.. Like lets say I was 255 I would set me a cheat day when I hit 240.. When that scale said 240.8 I cheated but not gorged myself... The next day back on track ,and a new goal was set for a cheat day at 230lbs.. It makes you work harder to get the goal weight to help get to the reward day..

EVERYONES body is different , but it worked wonders for My wife and I.. I'm more than happy with my results..

My problem before was I was a Hobbyist BBQ'r.. I used to smoke pork and ribs daily just to perfect them.. it all added up.. Nothing wrong with a BBQ , but every day?..i'LL MAKE IT ONCE A MONTH OR SO AFTER i HIT MY GOAL LOL..

Sounds like BFL (Body For Life) although a little more extreme on the diet. BFL wants you to reduce your carbs (not cut them out totally) and you have a cheat day once a week. I did it and lost about 60lbs over about 6-8 months. But an injury, then my gym closing for rennovations derailed me. I ate the same amount but didn't work out and gained it back in about a year.

Unemployment has really caused me to gain more weight so I've decided to start working out again. I'm concentrating on cardio and fat burn for now so that I can build up my endurance. I do swimming or walking/jogging outside or on a treadmill, or riding a bike 2-4 times a week. After I get to where I can do 5 times a week consistently I will add strength training and do cardio 3X/week. When I do that consistently, I will work more on the diet aspect.

I'm still a hobbiest BBQer but I try to give most of it away. I bring a baggie of my latest experiment to my BGE store and as a result, they take care of me. I haven't been cooking as often, since attending the Jack's Old South school in Jan, I've only done 2 briskets 1 pork butt, and 2 ribs.

Considering I've lost 150lbs in the past 2 years I think I can speak about this

My way to loose weight: Stop drinking anything other than water. I lost 20lbs the first months by not drinking soda, coffee, and beer.

After that, take a couple days to fast. I went a week without food at all, but I took vitamins and drank water. It shrunk the organ that is my stomach, and got me out of the 'habit' of eating. After a couple days without food, I got used to hunger, knew what hunger pains were, but could easily deal with them.

After the fasting, I only ate when my stomach was growling. Never limited what I ate (other than not drinking soda), nor did I count calories or try small proportions. When your stomach shrinks from the fast, you cant eat as much at once, and have to eat smaller meals more frequently, which helps speed up the metabolism, and therefore makes weight loss even easier.

It took about 2 years to loose the weight, but I dropped from 285lbs to 150lbs.

5 reasons cars are better than women

5) You can rub and wax a car in your driveway and not get arrested
4) Car's don't get mad at you for no reason every 28 days
3) You can't put a bumper sticker that says "How's my driving? Dial 1-800- EAT-S*IT!" on a woman.
2) You can sell your car to a complete stranger and nobody will get mad at you
1) Women can't go 200 miles per hour.

i dont know much about cars but i got a crx and i studied nutrition and graduated with a dietetics degree in college
Ill share what i have learned
Here is what you could do : change your diet and exercise- that is the secret
3 meals a day with at least 3 snacks- you have to have breakfast- most important meal of the day -try to fill up most then
still eat enough to fill you up but change the foods you eat
reduce most sugar and fat but do not eliminate them
food is the healthiest if it is prepared at home
for your beverages they should be only water and nonfat milk- no juice, soda, gatorade
dont skip carbs they are good for your body- but change them to all whole grains-oatmeal,brown rice, 100% whole wheat bread, whole wheat noodles
bake or grill your protein sources-with olive oil- choose lean meats 90/10% fat at least
choose butter instead if u need to have a spread
eat a lot of fruits and vegetables especially green vegetables
cut out all the junk food and fast food- its not really food anyway
try to eat at least 2500 kcals a day dont go less its not healthy - record what you eat to track it down
try for a weight loss goal of 2 lbs. per week more than that is not recommended for your health your body has to get use to the change
and exercise, walking or running or sports- basically do something more than u are doing right now- anything helps 30 mins a day at least
limit alcohol or cut ir out completely, 7 kcal per gram it is almost as high as eat pure fat,

i know these changes are extreme but they better for your health in the long run
good luck

Only date or have sex with someone who weighs twice what you do until you reach your goal. That will be a huge motivator to drop weight.
I put the FUN in dysfunctional!
Just tell her you are fixing it for someone and it is not yours and when they never show up to pick it up tell her you are keeping it for all of the work you put into it.

This is going to sound like a joke or something, and I haven't been able to come up with a really awesome way to put it but:

Just stop fucking eating, seriously.

Have you gone out and done anything seriously strenuous? No? Don't eat anything yet!

Great example, I woke up this morning at 8:30am, its 2:34pm, I have had nothing to eat since I haven't done anything, I'll probably end up having one meal today, and it'll probably be something thats chicken.

Another great thing if your single is just don't keep any food what so ever at your place, I mean /NOTHING/, don't drink soda, don't keep it around, don't keep any food at all, not even snacks, NOTHING, if you want food, you are going to have to get the hell out of your place and either walk somewhere to get it, or drive somewhere, and it'll cost you to take the trip so you'll think twice about buying the $10 extra-super-mega-large meal which you don't need anyways. Compound not keeping any food in your house with something that holds your attention at your place, a hobby of some sort or something, stop thinking porn since I know you are now, but make it something you'd be reluctant to just up and leave to go get food, you'll eat less food!

I weigh 115lbs, I'm about 5ft 5in, I eat out every single day, Panda Express, Carls Jr, Subway, what ever, I eat double western bacon cheeseburgers, I eat meat ball sandwiches, I get a double order of orange chicken with fried rice, but it works since I end up reluctant to go out and get food, have nothing at my place to eat, its going to cost me money so I don't get a lot of it, and I'll eat it late in the day because of all of this, so, it ends up being probably the only real meal I have that day since the next time I get hungry, every place is closed and I don't have any food to eat at home.

I've always been pretty skinny, but then again, I've never been one to just eat food because it was time to eat food, or because it was there. If you don't eat since you didn't do much, and it takes time and effort and extra funding to go eat food, its unlikely you'd put on poundage.

No way in hell I'm a doctor, but, this is the internets and I'm apparently entitled to my opinion on things!

you're entitled to your opinion but your method is extremely unhealthy. You're eating bad food and only getting away with it because you're not eating a lot of food. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and not eating it is never recommended. Always eat someting for breakfast, eat your biggest meal for lunch and have a small dinner, thats the ideal way to eat.

Way back 6 years I lost 40 lbs in 2 months, and kept it off.

You push the iron until your contact lenses pop out.

M W F
arms, chest, back, legs, abs.
(work out your own schedule)

See, when you stretch the muscles it takes two days to recover.

During those two days you burn massive calories, even while sleeping.
By doing different sets then you are always massively consuming calories.

I went from 195 to 155 eating anyting I want, but also, protein shakes
3 times a day.

So basically, your muscles are always recovering (based on sets of different body parts).

I met my now wife during this period she is 15 years younger and considered good looking.
(I am not a rich jackass nor am I overly outgoing. Thus, I contribute my success to being
very thin and extemely strong)
