Ok I've seen this question from you a couple times... I work at honda and i wanted to let you know the oil filter thing....there all the same for the most part. The only different ones are made for the insight. There are some filters that are bigger around but the skinny ones are the same thing, the rubber O ring seals and works fine. Working there i have used the same filter for civic, accord, crv, pilot....the list goes on. Just a little information. -Matt

I'd like to see you put a filter from an 88+ Civic on an 87. No, really.

Dood, i am so happy for you taht you finnaly bought a decent car. Notr to say your 1500s wasnt decent, but now you finnaly have something to build up.
Alot of the parts youre looking for that car can come off a 87 crx si.
I cant wait to see this car at the meet, it looks soo nice in that one pic!

You guys are correct.. As a matter of fact, I have 2 here and they don't fit.. So yes I know first hand.. The 88-89 D16's motors do use the same oil filter as the rest of the Hondas..

It's alright.. The computers probably will tell you the wrong thing for the part numbers.. I went to the dealer and that's what happened.. It's the computers that suck..
