WTF? $2950 was the high bid? Either It's holiday and people do not want to spend the cash, or They do not like restored ones, or people like all those other rolled back mileage e-bay ones with rust, and that bid up to almost $5,000 because a rolled back odometer makes them warm and fuzzy inside.. (Referring to the black one a member paid $5,000 for that the odometer said 65,000 , but carfax said 195,000)

I do not understand, this car should fetch more than that.

If you are reading this sarge.. WAIT until tax time to put it on auction..

I would have bought it for myself.

The story is I start this new job last year. OK, insurance is quoted as good.
Well, the president's wife is like the Tshirt logo designer but needs a better salary.
They make her in charge of our healthcare (VP) at 6 figures.
She guts our healthcare plan for a fat bonus.

I end up $8000 out of pocket to have a baby a year ago it would have been $3000.

That was all our money.

___
I think its at the point its better to tow home junk and fix it up than it is
to buy a car (particuarly ours) off ebay. (not his, a stranger I mean)

I'll re-list it on ebay after the holidays. I'll also list it on various Honda forums and maybe autotrader. If anyone here is interested, throw me some offers.

Once it is sold I will be turning in my moderator badge as I don't plan on owning another 1g/3g (or even a Honda).

I see 3 reasons:

The car is not a SI.

The car is not a stock HF.

Gas is not 4 bucks a gallon right now.

You sure about that?

The last stock 85K mile CRX that sold about a week ago got $4000 and 30 bids.. The door plastics were cracked pretty bad in the rear, paint was faded (see the water staining under the mirror) etc.. It was clean, but not sarges car clean.

It's the low miles that get the more money, but then again the red one (87 SI)with 200K that was OK clean went for $3000 ? I guess it just depends on what people want. I feel Sarge, nobody wants mine for a fair price either. You cant build mine for what I was asking, yet alone have the low mileage and original paint and documents from new. I'm gonna e-bay mine in stock trim soon at the beginning of the year.

You cannot even attempt to build sarges car for $2950 especially on the east coast with the shitty rusted shells offered there.
