So heres the scoop, im going to make these with 20mm left hand and right hand thread male rod ends. One end will have a reducer bushing machined down to 13mm. I will then machine two flat washers for either end to make a tight fit into the car. One end being 33mm wide and the other 39.5, 4mm for one side, and 7.25mm for the other. The washers will be made of aluminum, the adapter fitting steel or aluminum. Both ends will have a zerk fitting for easy lube access.

Cost so far: Parts

$25.00 - rod ends
$3.00 - Left hand and Right hand 20 x 1.5mm nuts
$15.00 - Tube steel
$10.00 - Aluminum washers
$1.00 - Adapter Sleeve

Labour:

Trying to keep these under 4 hours a piece.

Looking at probably $200 a piece.

What do you thinkÉ

I need to know wether or not this is reasonable because I'm about to order the parts.

The most expensive part is to make them exactly the correct width so that they dont have play. If i was just to throw the rod ends on a rod and sell them to you, you would have so much play between the bearings and the brackets that there would be a good chance that things would break terribly.

Count me in is that a shipped price or will shipping still need to be added. Also would all the money have to be upfront? Sorry for all the questions but I'm sure there are others on here with the same dilema that I have.

Order when you guys can, I'd like to build these two or four at a time, deposits would be encouraged to cover material costs, 25 percent sounds fair to me, and shipping will be 15 dollars flat rate

What would be the difference between this panhard bar and the one 1stgencrx makes?

Potentially quite interested in a rod end version.

Ahhh... wasn't aware of that.

In that case, I am in for sure for a spherical bearing version.
