Behind every fiberglass shower installation,
Is pink tile. How apres-peux.
Behind every pink tile is a piece of wallboard put up in the 1950s. It is usually more like wet Cracker-stuffs, and is usually colored green.
Behind that, if you're lucky, is cobwebs. but if you live in my house you'll find someone's BOTCHED ELECTRICAL sharing the wet wall.
And a squirrel carcass, which is what got me behind there in the first place. So yeah - I've had days just like yours.

i've been there! doesent look like they used enough liquid nail when they put the wall up.. when you reinstall i would use more than they did!
on the wall, i've seen them left this way, but you can't really tighten up the faucet knob collers. i'd just take out the up to the rot then shim the studs so the green board will flush out with tile.
if you need any tips or tricks, let me know...
btw, check the faucet seats for chips or cracks before reinstalling the new (or rebuilt) stems

I guess i had a day like that today... or all weekend
Work all weekend, studying for 4 tests for today...
My head was just about to explode...
But I played Halo for like 2 hours then lifted and had some sex and I feel 1000xs better now

That's why I'm tearing it out, cause I need a new assembly cause the seats are gone. I installed new stems on Sunday, but after that it was leaking worse.

Looks like Tom needs to pay LEW $50 to fix his faucet.

The faucet is fixed, now we (well, my wife, aka 'The Boss') are deciding if we want new tile or a new surround (obviously with new drywall, and a new tub, just cause). Either way I'm doing the work, so my vote is surround... Here is the latest update. A little cleaner:

well, you could knock out the pink in favor of carbon fiber if all of the work is on you.........

While I would be all over that schizzle, The Boss wouldn't appreciate that...
