Ok so i thought i had a gsr motor but its a gen 1 b16... i had a vfac and it melted and it fucked up my car... it will run but for only 30 sec on a shitty idle... we removed the vfac harness form the ecu.. and i dont know whats wrong! it has a brand new distribuator and ecu! could it be the main relay... i need some help im new to all the fullinjection wiring things i need help from some of you pros!
Thanks

ok so today we conducted a compression test and foud that!
cylinder 4 105
cylinder 3 105
cylinder 2 98
cylinder 1 105
i think that is pretty low for a high compression motor! its not smoking out the exahust but i think it should be the head gasket, so should i do a leak down test to be sure... also could having a bad head gasket cause my car to have a shitty idle and die after i try to give it some gas? Sorry for all the questions im new to these kind of motors! also we switched out my ecu with my friend obd1 ecu and it does the same thing! so its not my ecu! im so lost on whats going on! and when i turn my key my fuel pump make a real winney sound!

bump!
Man id check you cam timing...see if everythingis where it should be those #'s are low. somethings off. If the cams are off, it could be causing the thing to die.

Dude you dont check it you set it. You should check with some of the guys running b-series, but i would pull that valve cover, pull your plugs, turn the engine over by hand and set your crank to TDC, theres a mark on the crank, then check your marks on those cam gears. If they dont line up with the head, slide the timing belt off and set them by hand, the marks should line up with the head, loosen them and make sure they are set to 0 degrees. When the mark on the crank is lined up where it should be and the lines on the cam gears line up with the head. Check you compression again, If that doesnt work, do that all over and check you valve clearences. If you are unsure of what i mean find somebody that can help that knows. Messing with cams and valves and not doing things right can result in bent stuff. You may have bent valves, you may need a headgasket, cracked that valve cover open.
