Ok, I’ll have to say I’ve had zero time to devote to diagnosis on this problem, so I’m in a throw new parts at it mode (hey, new parts on old vehicles is never bad, right?). I put the new coolant sensor on as I said and decided a new main relay might be wise next. That done, I did get it to start but only with extra accelerator input. It runs very rough until completely warm but when warmed up is “ok” on the highway and stays running but roughly in town. I also got another PGMFI light (twice now) with a code of light 1 (only) which points to oxygen sensor and or spark plugs. Both are on the way to me to try.. Got a hand impact driver to use on the intake air temp sensor removal.

Well...cleared the ECU memory, slapped in a set of new plugs and half hour into my daily drive the PGM-FI light returned with the same code...#1 light only.

Nope, Bosch Platinum +4’s #4478’s which I have been using for a long time (this makes the third set) without any complaint from the ECU.
