Hey Guys,
You might have already seen my car if you were on reddit yesterday; my post about it blew up!
Anyway, I recently picked up a 1 owner 86 Civic Si, and it's pretty clean but it needs some TLC. I have a few questions, and I am on the hunt for a few parts.
First off, what color is this car? Rio Red? I'm trying to order some touchup paint and I'm not sure what the official honda color was.
Secondly, how do you remove the mid trim on the doors and 1/4 panel? I want to buff the car and respray the trim with trim paint, so it'd be awesome to remove it.
Also, how do you remove the black strips on the roof? Do I need to drop the headliner?
Does anyone make legit seat covers for these cars? My fabric is really thin and starting to fall apart.
Here is a list of parts that I am hunting for:
- Si Badge
- Driver's side taillight
- Both front bumper turn signal lenses
- Black floormats
- both rear 1/4 panel trim pieces, behind the doors
- Rear mudflaps
- Spark plug wires OEM and OEM spark plug wire seperators that mount to valve cover
- Stock intake tube

I had one of the members here (Wolf?) make me some seat covers fro my CRX a few years back...they are awesome!

Does he still make covers? If so I need to get a set
I am not sure if he does? He added extra material in the sides of the seat and side bolsters plus provided me the extra foam to make the seats a little bit taller in those areas. Sure makes the seat hold you better in cornering!

I'm not sure about the seat covers. He recently re-upholstered my seats though. I'll send him a message and see if still makes the seat covers.
Welcome ADDvanced! Good luck with your project. Was the car recently in a small accident? I feel as if I've seen this car before with a front end fender bender.

That would be awesome! I have a 3G SI badge you can borrow if you want to see if you can 3D print it for ADDvanced and whoever else wants one?uI'm not sure about the seat covers. He recently re-upholstered my seats though. I'll send him a message and see if still makes the seat covers.
